Hostel Amenities and Features
Over
the years, we have invested in these features and amenities to make
your stay at Spenard Hostel International more comfortable. You
can take care of your laundry, catch up on correspondence to family
and friends, or prepare for your next Alaskan adventure.
Hostel
Office Hours: 9 AM (0900h) to 1 PM (1300h) (Summer Only)
and 7 PM (1900h) to 11PM (2300h).
- Bus service to and from Denali National Park, Seward, and Homer pick up and drop off right at the hostel door!
- No
Membership required. Everyone pays the same low rate. No maximum
age restrictions either.
- We
are licensed, insured, and inspected.

Liberal cancellation policy and credit cards are not charged upon
reservation.
- Occasional
work exchange available.
- Fresh air is pumped into each room 24/7. No smelly or stuffy rooms here.
Hostel Features & Facilities:

Solid wood bunks and new mattresses.
- Three
fully equipped kitchens.
- Four
Home-style bathrooms.
- Coin-operated
Laundry Facilities with new machines.
- Three
General coed lounges. One for Visiting, one for quiet activities
and one for Television.

A great yard with a lawn.

Free use of our Gas Barbeque. Free sheets, pillows, pillow cases
and blankets. Using your sleeping bag is okay too.
- Three
telephones with free local calls.
Food
and Fun at Spenard Hostel:

of all, we have a world-class black Labrador - SKEETER
- Vending
Machines for candy and cold drinks.
- A
PLAYER Piano.
- GREAT
FOOD! We have a potluck style dinner every Wednesday night.
Everyone cooks a little something and everyone gets to share
in the delights.

Hostel
Rentals:
- Bicycles
available for rent. Very LOW daily or hourly rates. We have both
Mountain bikes and Gear-less beach cruisers.
- High-speed
Internet 24-hours per day for only $1 for 10 minutes.

Storage lockers for guests and low-cost long term storage available
too.

coffee, tea and hot chocolate and food exchange.

camp-fuel exchange, can’t take it back with you.

long-term or locals allowed in the summer.

- Very
close to the Airport and on the bus line to downtown.

alcohol, and tobacco free.

shoes worn in the hostel.
